Those who are surprised we aren't finding out usually ask how will we prepare? They ask how will we decorate the nursery and buy clothes. I just kind of shrug my shoulders and say most babies don't care what their nursery looks like. And I have a mother and mother-in-law who are doing their best to patiently wait until they can go shopping, so I'm not worried about clothes.
I usually need to have a plan and be in control, but right now I'm okay with not being in control. If I've learned anything from having Daulton in my life its that once you add kids to the equation, you can make plans but that doesn't always mean you are going to be able to follow them. You have to be flexible and go with the flow.
So, that's what I'm doing. I'm going with the flow and enjoying the present.
Just because we are not finding out the gender does not mean we judge or criticize anyone else's choice to find out early. What works for us may not work for someone else and vice versa. To each their own.
Love it Abby! :)
